The STEM Sisters SWOP SIS Group (VIC) is for women of colour in STEM in Victoria to sustainably swap and lend clothing within a supportive network. Focused on empowering women from diverse backgrounds, this group provides access to professional and everyday attire without financial burden, promoting both eco-conscious choices and cultural inclusivity. Members can connect with like-minded women in STEM across Victoria, refresh their wardrobes with pre-loved items, and contribute to a sustainable future.

Rules

Group Rules Quality Clothing Only: Share items that are clean, in good condition, and appropriate for professional or casual wear. Ensure there are no stains, tears, or damage. Swaps and Loans Only: This group is strictly for swapping and lending clothing; selling items is not permitted. Local Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Arrange meet-ups locally within Victoria. Use the group chat to coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs in a way that’s convenient for both parties. Loan Agreements: If lending an item, agree on a clear loan period. Borrowers are expected to return items on time and in the same condition. Respect and Courtesy: Treat all members with respect. Be timely, polite, and responsive in all interactions to maintain a positive experience for everyone. Ambassador Support: Group Ambassadors are available to assist members, manage swaps, and answer any questions. Don’t hesitate to reach out to an Ambassador if you need help. Sustainable Practices: In keeping with our commitment to sustainability, avoid unnecessary packaging and opt for eco-friendly methods when exchanging items.
